Further Devolution to the Greater Manchester Combined Authority
The Chancellor has announced further devolution to the Greater Manchester Combined Authority. Under the agreement, Greater Manchester Combined Authority and the Office of Police and Crime Commissioner will be given “further freedom and flexibility”.

The Sentencing Council has published revised guidelines for how courts should sentence people convicted of dangerous dog offences. The revised guidelines reflect recent changes in the law (the increase in maximum sentences, the extension of legislation to cover attacks that occur on private property and a new offence of attacks on assistance dogs).
